WHY I LOVE IT: This was the first raw brand I was introduced to MANY years ago, and its quality has maintained. Smaller family company based out of California, a stunning ingredient deck with nothing artificial and 90% meat, bone & organ!
Highly palatable & found in the freezer section of local pet shops around the country! They also have some great frozen treats and supplements. Additionally, the foundation fruits and vegetables in each recipe are consistent with AAFCO nutritional guidelines, but the inconsistent ratios allow for easy transition between the formulations.
The lamb formula is densest and is perfect for putting healthy weight on my dog quickly. On the other hand, the Turkey & Produce formula has high protein and low fat, making it ideal for building lean muscle mass on athletic dogs. I also appreciate that the brand encourages rotation and variety to create a more balanced diet and reduce the risk of developing an allergy. If you’re looking for a dog food brand with purposeful formulations and a commitment to nutrition, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
