It has a magnetic opening, so when you’re wearing it, it automatically shuts so that you don’t lose the treats. It also has a front pouch.

Hands-Free Leash
When it’s time for your dog’s walk, you can make use of the hands-free leash. You can use it like a traditional leash or you can wear it as a crossbody.
You can even tighten it and wear it as a waist strap, so that when you’re walking your dog, you can focus on walking and giving them treats instead of having to hold the leash.
It also has a great leash clip, which is great because you can tether your dog to the bottom of the table while, let’s say, you’re having brunch.
Slow Feeding Bowl
This slow feeding bowl is fantastic to add healthy toppers to your dog’s meal. So, if you put their kibble down here, they have to move the little tray around to get to their food.
Even better is if you want to add healthy, pet-safe human foods on top of their meal. They get more added nutrients and moisture, and you can put them in these little cutouts.
Yak Chew
If you’re looking for an easy way to help keep your dog’s teeth clean and mentally tire them, you can try a Yak Chew.
The problem with most Yak Chews is the questionable low quality. Sourcing for this is low because they have become so popular.
One of the only brands that I really feel comfortable feeding is by Native Pet. They are responsibly sourced and there’s only four real ingredients – cow’s milk, yak’s milk, lime juice, and sea salt. But, avoid it if your pet is lactose sensitive!
Yak Chew Holder
Speaking of Yak Chews, this little dude is here to help you from wasting because you can take that little last bit, which most people normally throw away, stuff it in this guy’s little stomach, and then you microwave it for about 30 to 45 seconds.
After, let it cool off in some water for about a minute. Then, it puffs up and turns into a crunchy, occasional treat for your dog. Again, as long as they’re not intolerant or sensitive to lactose.
Bamboo Grooming Wipes
This has become a fan favorite because of their sustainability and how long they last. These 100% bamboo grooming wipes. These are great to wipe their booties, wipe their paws after walks.
I love them because they have very limited ingredients. There’s no dyes, no perfumes, unscented, hypoallergenic, and made of 100% bamboo. They are a generous size and stay moist for quite a long time.
Pet Medical Insurance
One thing you could get if you want to help your dog live and thrive as long as possible is pet medical insurance. We actually had Wally on pet insurance with Trupanion since he was eight weeks old. In fact, he was on pet insurance before we brought him home because we knew the value of investing in his health.
I believe that every dog and cat should be on pet medical insurance whenever possible because it removes that situation where you’re sitting in that vet clinic and learning about something that your pet needs and not being able to afford it.
The last thing I want to be uncertain on is if I’m going to be able to afford whatever it is that my pets need. At the end of the day, my pets are part of my family. So, ust like I have insurance for my health, the same goes for my pets. It is worth it for your peace of mind.
The Forever Dog
This book called “The Forever Dog” is a compilation of research studies about how we can help our dog live and thrive for as long as possible.
I am a bit biased because it is written by two of my good friends, mentors Dr. Karen Becker and Rodney Habib. These are two of the most influential pet health advocates in the world. This is a must-have for any dog parent.
Puzzles
Puzzles can be a great way to build our dog’s confidence and to get their energy out, especially a great thing to do before you leave for the day. You can fill out the little cutouts with their food or treats and then have them go at it.
Once your dog masters these, take it to a new place and do it. Go to the backyard, go to your front yard, go to a park, do it outside of the office of your vet clinic.
You’ll see that your dog might take longer to finish it because of a new environment. So, it’s a great tool to use to help build confidence and desensitize them to different, scary things.
Probiotics
Speaking of health, the probiotics that I actually take for myself, that brand also makes probiotics for pets and one of the reasons I love giving my dogs probiotics is for gut health.
